The remit of the Town Management Team is to work with business across the town, to ensure the commercial sector is represented on issues that affect the town, and to work on a number of projects that will provide support and promotional activity for all of Exmouth’s business community. As such we work very closely with the Exmouth Chamber of Trade, who are represented on the Partnership Board.
Town Management was established in 2002, and recently there has been renewed emphasis on its role because of the emerging Exmouth Regeneration Programme .
The Town Management business plan is comprised of a number of improvement and promotional projects for the Town, and includes:

Promotion projects for Exeter Road and Brixington Parade

Our day-to-day work provides help to businesses through the seemingly difficult bureaucracy of local authority processes, providing a communication link on behalf of smaller, independent businesses to the wider public sector as well as working to remove graffiti, by working with the local Street Scene team.

As an example of what we do on an ongoing basis,we are currently working with Devon County Council to bring a local input into issues like street furniture and tables and chairs, by recognising there needs to be some flexibility around the requirements of town centre shops's and their need to provide services to their customers and promote awareness of their businesses.

We also represent local business at the Exmouth Regeneration Programme Team meetings, where we try to ensure that the interests and concerns of the independent business community are given a voice and a fair hearing.

Exmouth Town Management are the UK's first town to adopt this technology to help promote businesses in the community. The Town Management Partnership are also sharing this technology with all the businesses that participate in this project in order to promote the town to the widest possible audience.
